For a home mandir, 12 to 18 inches is ideal — large enough to show Hanuman's expressive face, muscular chest and raised gada without overwhelming the shrine. A dedicated puja room can carry 24 to 36 inches, especially for Panchmukhi where five faces need room to breathe. For a home gym or fitness space, we recommend 3 to 5 feet — the scale carries Hanuman's inspirational strength into a large room and reads powerfully from a distance. Outdoor gates, akhadas and commercial gyms often commission 6 to 8 feet standing installations.

Hanuman is the rare deity for whom South-facing placement is not only acceptable but auspicious — because in the Mahiravana legend he vanquished evil approaching from the South. Place him in the South-West of the home with the murti facing South to ward off negative energies and correct Vastu defects. If your entrance faces East or South, positioning Hanuman near the doorway to face the entrance is also traditional and protective. Always elevate him on a chowki or pedestal, never the bare floor. Avoid the bedroom, walls shared with bathrooms, the kitchen, and spaces beneath staircases.

Makrana marble is the classical devotional choice — its dense white grain takes a fine polish for decades and beautifully offsets a sindoor-orange painted body or a gold-leafed mace. Bhainslana marble carries a warm golden undertone that echoes Hanuman's traditional colour association, letting you install him in his natural sindoor hue without any surface paint — a favourite for devotees who want an authentic look with permanent stone finish. Hanuman statues concentrate detail in high-relief zones — the raised gada, curling tail, muscular chest, Ram-nam engravings and, for Panchmukhi, five separate faces. Dust these weekly with a soft dry natural-hair brush; never wipe undercuts with a wet cloth, as trapped moisture darkens marble over months. For the smooth body, use a barely damp muslin cloth and dry immediately. If a sindoor painted finish or gold leaf is present, dust only — never wipe. Avoid acidic cleaners including citrus, vinegar and household sprays, which etch marble permanently. Every PLPS statue ships with a written care card.

A gym Hanuman is meant to inspire physical and mental strength, so we recommend a Veer Hanuman standing with raised gada, or a muscular seated Bajrangbali, in the 3 to 5 feet range. Position him near the entrance or on the wall you face as you enter — his presence sets the tone from the first step.
